Training Journey in Saudi Arabia

Wadi Al Disah – Palms, Mountains & Canyons

Our adventure began in Wadi Al Disah, a valley that feels like stepping into another world. Tall palm trees, dramatic sandstone mountains, and hidden canyons await discovery. Walking through the valley gave us a mix of peace and adventure—a perfect place for travelers who love nature, photography, and off-the-beaten-path experiences.

The Beauty of Nature

In Wadi Al Disah, the landscape is breathtaking. The towering mountains create a stunning backdrop for the lush palm trees. As I walked through the valley, I felt a deep connection to nature. Each step revealed new wonders, from unique rock formations to vibrant wildlife.

Photography Opportunities

For those who enjoy photography, Wadi Al Disah offers countless opportunities. The interplay of light and shadow on the canyon walls creates stunning visuals. I found myself stopping frequently to capture the beauty around me. Each photo tells a story of adventure and exploration.

Al Taif – The City of Roses

Next, we climbed up to Al Taif, known as the City of Roses. Sitting nearly 1,900 meters above sea level, the city offers cooler weather and stunning mountain views.

We explored the old town, filled with colorful markets, local crafts, and fragrant streets. The highlight was visiting a rose factory, where the famous Damask roses are transformed into perfumes, oils, and other products. Beyond the flowers, Al Taif is steeped in history, with more than 1,450 years of stories waiting to be discovered.

Cultural Richness

Al Taif is not just about roses; it is a cultural hub. The local markets are vibrant and full of life. I enjoyed interacting with the friendly vendors and learning about their crafts. Each item has a story, and I felt privileged to hear them.

Historical Significance

The city’s history is fascinating. As I walked through the old town, I could almost hear the whispers of the past. The architecture tells tales of a rich heritage. Exploring Al Taif was like stepping back in time, and I was grateful for the opportunity to experience it.

Jeddah – Where History Meets the Sea

Our final stop was Jeddah, a vibrant city on the Red Sea where tradition blends with modern life. We visited the oldest fish market in Saudi Arabia, alive with the smells, sounds, and energy of daily life.

We also explored Al Balad, Jeddah’s historic old town, where coral-stone buildings and wooden balconies showcase more than 150 years of history and trade culture.

A Taste of Local Life

At the fish market, I experienced the hustle and bustle of local life. The vibrant colors of the fish and the lively conversations created an atmosphere full of energy. It was a feast for the senses. I even tried some local delicacies, which added to the authenticity of my experience.

Historical Exploration

Al Balad is a treasure trove of history. Walking through its narrow streets felt like stepping into a living museum. The architecture is stunning, and each building has its own story. I took my time exploring, soaking in the rich culture that surrounds this historic area.

The journey ended at the Floating Mosque, standing gracefully on the Red Sea. Watching the sunset over the water was the perfect moment to reflect on the trip—and the experiences we will bring to future travelers.

This trip was much more than sightseeing—it was training for our guides and team. By walking the routes, learning the stories, and testing the logistics, we can design Saudi Arabia programs that are smooth, authentic, and unforgettable.
