Tariq’s Climb to the Top of Europe
This year, Tariq Samih, our leader and adventure enthusiast, reached the summit of Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe at 5,642 meters. Located in Russia’s Caucasus Mountains, Elbrus is a formidable challenge, known for its harsh weather, high altitude, and icy slopes.
Tariq spent months preparing for this challenge, training intensively, planning meticulously, and staying focused. The climb was grueling, with freezing temperatures and steep glaciers, but he successfully reached the top. Standing at the summit was
a moment of immense pride, both for him and for all of us. His achievement inspires us to think big and explore the possibility of offering more trekking adventures in Jordan.
Ahmad’s Annapurna Adventure
Ahmad, a key member of our adventure team, tackled the legendary Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. This trek, which reaches 5,416 meters at Thorong La Pass, is renowned for its breathtaking views and cultural richness.
Ahmad’s journey was a blend of physical challenge and cultural exploration. He trekked through lush forests, navigated rocky trails, and immersed himself in the stunning beauty of Nepal’s mountains. This adventure has inspired him to develop unique trekking tours for our travelers in Jordan.
Climbing Jabal Rum: A New Adventure in Jordan
Closer to home, Ahmad recently explored Jabal Rum, a spectacular climbing destination in southern Jordan. With its towering sandstone cliffs and mesmerizing desert views, Jabal Rum is ideal for mountaineering.
Ahmad’s climb focused on identifying the best routes, honing his climbing skills, and ensuring that guided tours in the area would be both safe and thrilling. We’re now planning to incorporate Jabal Rum into our adventure travel packages, offering a distinctive experience for thrill-seekers.
Jordan’s First Full E-Bike Adventures Program
We proudly launched Jordan's first-ever full E-bike adventure program. Introducing this groundbreaking product required us to collaborate closely with various local authorities to adjust regulations for E-bike use in the country. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Jordan Customs, the Ministry of Interior, the Central Traffic Department in Jordan, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and the Jordan Tourism Board for their invaluable support and collaboration in making this vision a reality.
The E-bike adventure program marks a significant milestone for Ashtar Tours and adventure tourism in Jordan. This innovative offering will attract new audiences, introduce a fresh demographic to Jordan’s natural and cultural wonders, and open up new markets for the country.
