The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a diverse community and bizarre landscapes; this small country has been a mixing pot of cultures for millennia; remnants of ancient civilizations are scattered around; Sumerians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Persians and Mesopotamians came in from the east. From the south came the Nabateans, while from the west, Pharonic Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, Byzantines and Crusaders.

Historians and Archaeologists consider Jordan as an open air museum; over 10 thousand towns and monuments are spread all across the country. A must see is the Decapolis, a ten-city Greco- Roman federation in the north of Jordan, the best preserved are Philadelphia (modern Amman), Gadara (modern Umm Qays), Gerasa (Jarash) and Pella (Tabaqat Fahl).

JARASH is the best evidences of the Roman and Byzantine era.

Madaba, Mount Nebo, Makawer, Anjara and Mar Elias are announced on the Christian pilgrimage map worldwide.
